Point (basketball)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Points in basketball are used to keep track of the score in a match. Points can be accumulated by making a field goal (2 points), a three-point field goal (3 points) or free throws (1 point).

The team that has recorded the most points at the end a game is declared that game's winner.
