Pogradec District

The District of Pogradec (Albanian: Rrethi i Pogradecit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 71,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 725 km². It is in the east of the country, and its capital is Pogradec.

You may travel to and from Pogradec through taxi, taxi van, mini bus, bus, or train. Train departs from Pogradec to its final destination in Durres twice daily, and although considerably cheap, it is in very bad shape. Taxi vans are much more preferred and usually cost 600 Lek from Pogradec to Elbasan, 1100 Lek to Tirana and 1200 Lek to Durres
