This category is for cue sports of the pocket billiards family, including pool (and variants, such as nine-ball, black-ball, etc.), snooker, and the hybrid carom/pocket game English billiards. "Pocket" in this context is defined "as a receptacle for balls cut into the rail of the table". Cue sports that make use of round holes drilled through the table bed itself (as in bumper pool, etc.) belong in Category:Obstacle billiards.
