PNC is the stage name for popular New Zealand rapper Sam Hansen. PNC is an acronym for Palmerston North City, the place where he was born. He was previously part of the label Breakin' Wreckwordz where he released the popular single Day In A Life on the Breakin' Wreckwordz compilation album, but has since been signed to P-Money's Dirty Records where he had released his début album Rookie Card. The first two singles, Bomb! and Just Roll, were relatively successful songs in New Zealand. He followed with Who Betta Than This, the song that is said by many to be one of the best New Zealand rap songs ever made. PNC is among some of the most successful New Zealand rappers, along with Scribe, Savage, Frontline and Mareko.
