Plum City is a village in Pierce County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 574 at the 2000 census.

Plum City is located at 44°37′59″N, 92°11′31″W (44.632938, -92.191967)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.5 km² (1.0 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2005, there were 604 people, 216 households, and 147 families residing in the village. The population density was 226.1/km² (584.2/mi²). There were 231 housing units at an average density of 91.0/km² (235.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.83% White, and 0.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.17% of the population.

There were 216 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.5% were non-families. 26.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.99.

In the village the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 17.8% from 45 to 64, and 25.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 90.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $38,438, and the median income for a family was $46,607. Males had a median income of $31,786 versus $23,409 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,847. About 3.3% of families and 5.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.1% of those under age 18 and 9.3% of those age 65 or over.
