Plucker is a free opensourced document viewer for Palm OS based handheld devices and PDAs. It has its own Plucker file format.
Besides the Palm viewer application, Plucker also provides a number of tools for transferring and compressing webpages and other HTML or text documents into the Plucker file format and onto a Palm device for reading. The tools are available for Unix and Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Plucker is Free Software licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Plucker includes such features as: clickable images (pan and zoom), high resolution fonts (including italics and narrow), stylus options for gestures, button navigation, and non-standard screen sizes for devices such as the AlphaSmart Dana. It also supports ZLib and DOC compression, Perl and Python conduits and parsers, and has a Windows integrated installer.
With Sunrise Desktop (formerly called JPluck) allow to read RSS-feeds.[1]
A Pocket PC version of Plucker viewer called Vade-Mecum is also licensed under the GNU General Public License.[2]
