There are two famous persons named Pliny:
- Pliny the Elder, an ancient Roman nobleman, scientist and historian, author of Naturalis Historia, "Pliny's Natural History".
- Pliny the Younger, an ancient Roman statesman, orator, and writer, a nephew and adopted son of Pliny the Elder.
