  • when Pleasure Island Jazz Company opened
  • when XZFR Rockin' Rollerdrome opened (1989?) and closed
  • when Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club opened

[edit] Disambiguation needed? And new article?

There was a good-sized amusement park also called "Pleasure Island" but unaffiliated with Disney between 1959 and 1969 in Wakefield, MA. According to online sources it was at inception the largest man-made tourist attraction in New England.

I personally have wonderful memories of that park, and apparently I'm not the only one; there are a number of memorial websites still online. Perhaps some note about the Wakefield MA park should be added to the main entry?
