[edit] Annoying...
You (in other words, me) know what's annoying? When you get some idiots who don't know what they're doing on Wikipedia. They make some articles with horrible spelling and grammer, two spaces after every sentence, and completely horrible linking. They don't check if a link exists before they make it, they don't look for it under different names, they don't understand Wikipedia syntax, etc. They just write it. Also, it sounds crappy. Know what else? When someone else reads it and DOES NOTHING! I just spent over two hours going through this idiot's Golden Sun character pages and fixing all of the above errors (I'm sure I missed a few minor ones). I then had to go to the redirect pages someone else created for the idiot's links and find everything that linked there and fix those links. I then went here to get them deleted. I mean, I know how big Wikipedia is, but I wish it looked as good as Memory Alpha. They run one tight ship over there. People shouldn't ve allowed to edit if they don't know how to spell, use commas, spacing, or, most importantly here, Wiki format. I mean, I'm not perfect, but seriously! 06:00, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Spaces?
Isn't it correct to have two spaces after each sentence?
Hi! Thanks for all of the useful links. I am also sorry for leaving the tabor address in the article- As you can see, I obviously stole it from their site. Thanks again! Chkiss 02:14, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Editing user pages
The only changes I'll ever make to a user's page: 1) reverting vandalism; and 2)fixing links. Yours was #2. I'm always very careful about it. --nihon 21:44, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] reverting Mnemonic page
I am curious as to why you reverted about three and half month's worth of edits in Mnemonic the other day. There were several good contributions to that page over that time and I see no reason to delete it all out (rather than manually going through and deleting unneeded information, for example). There may have been many needed edits that you thoughtlessly removed. I would simply revert your reversion, but I assume you have a reason and I would like to hear it first. Thanks.-Platypus Man | Talk 06:34, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Platypus222. That revert was a mistake on my part and I'm not sure how it happened. I went and set it back to version '00:09, 11 February 2006'. It's very strange, the October version wouldn't even have been available for me to select on the history page. Monkeyman 14:13, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- I added back the edits from the last few days as well. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and also thanks for assuming good faith! Monkeyman 18:09, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ethan Rom
Has the origin of his name been confirmed by the writers, or is this fan speculation/original research? Jtrost (T | C | #) 23:26, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Seeing how it's pure speculation, I don't think it's appropriate for Wikipedia. Jtrost (T | C | #) 13:31, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Dave Mordal.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Dave Mordal.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 07:48, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:RJ_Reynolds_High_School_Front.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:RJ_Reynolds_High_School_Front.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] New Video Game Article
Hey! I saw that you created a new video game related article- consider joining the Computer and Video Games WikiProject! I have added your article to the list of new articles, and attributed it to you. --PresN 17:14, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Redirects
It's no big deal, but you can't get redirects to go to a specific part of a page (like Final Fantasy III DS). It really doesn't hurt anything, but it doesn't accomplish anything either. Just figured I'd tell you... -Platypus Man | Talk 23:51, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well . . . I tried . . . --Zeldamaster3 14:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] In response to your Trivia Cleanup talk post
If you feel the need, I suppose the trivia (that is useful at least)..should be re-added to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Just remember, Wikipedia isn't against trivia, but just limits them to small sections. If you can put the trivia in the article itself (in other sections), then go ahead. Remember: Wikipedia isn't a fan's guide to every little note (minor or major), it's an encyclopedia. The Cleanup project isn't for removing each and every trivia section, just making them smaller. I think you somehow think Wikipedia should list everything interesting about a subject, but that's not the case. If you open a normal paper edition of an encyclopedia, you won't find endless trivia sections on subjects there. A web version is no different. If you happen to see a trivia section just removed (and no important information put back in the article), report it as vandalism. I hope this helped, and cleared things up. RobJ1981 04:33, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well the policies for trivia cleanup aren't set in stone, and could be changed if needed. People don't always follow the policies anyway. If a person doesn't read the policies (which I'm sure many don't...), then they just edit trivia how they like. That's something I can't control, nor wish to. If people vandalize by removing trivia that shouldn't be removed, it should be reported. I agree somewhat on your note on my talk page of: If something is complete speculation, coincidental, or irrelevant to the article at hand, then I see no problem with deleting it. I'll try to update the trivia cleanup policies and make it improved so at least some problems are solved. I know the users of the project, read the policies more... so that will at least help them out with trivia issues like the one that happened at the Final Fantasy page.
