Playhatch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Playhatch (also known as Play Hatch) is a small village in the English county of Oxfordshire.
The village is part of the civil parish of Eye & Dunsden, with the villages of Sonning Eye and Dunsden Green, at the very southernmost tip of Oxfordshire, on the A4155 road between the towns of Reading and Henley-on-Thames. Before 1866, it formed part of the Oxfordshire section of Sonning civil parish.
Even though this is a tiny village, there are three public houses:
- The Crown, a 16th century coaching inn
- The Flowing Spring, a short way north-east on the A4155 road
- The Shoulder of Mutton, a no smoking pub
Close by to the south is the Redgrave-Pinsent Rowing Lake.
