Play is a monthly magazine produced by Imagine Publishing in the United Kingdom, covering all aspects of Sony's PlayStation product range, including the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and yet-to-be-released PlayStation 3. It is the UK's longest-running PlayStation magazine, and is currently in its 11th year on sale.
Play is the bestselling title from Imagine's portfolio, and the most popular unofficial PlayStation magazine, with a current average readership of 53,102. It is well-regarded throughout the videogame industry for its unbiased news, previews and reviews, and works with some of the most experienced writers in the field. Editor-In-Chief Nicolas Jones has almost ten years experience working on videogames magazines and has successfully overseen the recent redesign, following the magazine's move from the defunct Highbury Entertainment.
The magazine employs five full-time staff as well as Nicolas Jones: Art Editor Gregory Whittaker, Deputy Editor Aaron Asadi, Sub Editor Luke Smith, Senior Staff Writer Jude Salmon and Staff Writer Tim Empey.
Play magazine operates from the Imagine Publishing offices in the heart of sunny Bournemouth and continues to inform and reflect the independent views and opinions on the world of PlayStation. It is in no way associated with the US Play magazine, and has been running for considerably longer.
