[edit] Overview

In the period from 1977 to 1982, AD Plantaže, joint stock company presently incorporated into Holding company "Agrokombinat 13 jul", transformed a barren and waterless Ćemovsko field into the vineyards and one of the largest gardens on the Balkans.

On the total surface area of 2000 hectares a vineyard production has been established with prevailing autochthonous wine variety Vranac.

A great number of sunny days with average daily sunshine of 8,2 hours and the irrigation, which makes up for the lack of precipitation in summer months, are the conditions for standard yields and high quality products. Fifteen thousand tons of wine grapes is poured into the cellar, the capacity of which is 25 million liters.
