Planet Milocinia

Milocinia is a fictional planet in the Star Ocean universe. It is located in the Theta Sector, which like Roak and Expel, is relatively close to Earth.

Planet Milocinia was originally discovered by Ronixis J. Kenni's starship, the Calnus, in Stardate 366 (2452 A.D.). While at the time the planet showed no signs of life, ancient ruins on the planet's surface suggested that it was at one time inhabited. Most of these ruins were destroyed, however, hinting that there was some sort of large-scale war or disaster. Ronixis J. Kenni's son, Claude C. Kenni, as a member of the survey team, was observing a relic in one of the ruins, whereupon it suddenly forced him into a sphere of light and transported him to the planet Expel, thus beginning the events of Star Ocean: The Second Story.

It was later learned that the Milocinians possessed the knowledge of Creation Energy, which is likely what destroyed their civilization. The Federation utilized the ruins on this planet, along with the Quadratic Keys on Expel, to create its own version of Creation Energy some several hundred years later.
