Plain Games is a news media website that was founded in 2001 and provides reviews and articles about video games targeted at gamers and parents. Plain Games reviews are a mix between those found on game media websites like IGN Entertainment and GameSpot and CCGR, providing an objective overview of gameplay and quality with information on content based on traditional family values.

Plain Games provides several area's of coverage on its website. It covers electronic games in three sections: PC Games and Macintosh, Console Games (including: PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii), and Handheld Games (including: PSP, Nintendo DS, Game Boy, N-Gage). The site also covers Hardware and Tabletop Games. There is even a special area specifically for Parents, to inform them about the game industry.

The Plain Games website launched on February 28, 2002 and originally hosted reviews from a group of three gamers: Joshua Heyl, and Jeremy Jones, Stephan Mack. Since then, the site has grown substantially and now includes over 200 reviews and articles from more than 25 individuals. Plain Games incorporated in 2005 and is a privately owned corporation based in Pennsylvania.
