Places inhabited by Rusyns

Places inhabited by Rusyns include or have included the following places inhabited by each of the smaller ethnicities:

• Lemko:
  • Poland: Subcarpathian Voivodship
• Boyko:
  • Poland: Subcarpathian Voivodship
  • Ukraine: Zakarpattia Oblast
  • Slovakia: Presov Region
• Hucul:
  • Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Chernivtsi Oblast
  • Romania: Maramures County, Suceava County
• Rusins-proper
  • Trans-Carpathian Rus (Red Rus)

These can also be referred to as Carpathian Ruthenia but that term is nowadays restricted to the Zakarpattya region of Ukraine only.

There are also Pannonian Rusyns in Serbia (most notably in Vojvodina), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
