A plaster worker smooths a semi-hardened veneer wall face. This tinted plaster finish coat had been applied about an hour ago, and is now hard enough to be gently smoothed. As this wall further hardens, it will be more aggressively smothed using water and firm trowel strokes. The ceiling is colored plaster, applied using a different tinting technique. The wall to the right has a plaster base coat, and will receive its finish coat in a few hours or days.
