These walls and ceiling are bare, colored plaster. The ceiling was applied one week before the photo was taken. The walls were applied one and two days before the photo was taken. Note the band of moisture at the margins of the ceiling. As the fresh walls cure, some of the moisture absorbs into the backing wallboard of the ceiling, causing this temporary staining. The band of moisture will disappear over the course of several days, as the walls also cure and fade.
