July 1969 to April 1974 – B. Tech (Electrical) from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology with majors in electronics and telecommunications engineering. This university was set up in affiliation with the University of Illinois, USA.

July 1974 to April 1976 – M.B.A. [Full Time] from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi with majors in Finance and Marketing Management. This is one of the top four Management Institutes of India.

Employments:

1.May 1976 to December 1986 with Usha (India) Ltd, New Delhi. Joined as Management Trainee (Marketing) and resigned as Marketing Manager. Usha are the biggest manufacturers of semi-conductor devices in India in technical collaboration and financial participation from Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd, U.K. Sold power diodes, thyristors, transistors to OEMs & turnkey contractors engaged into doing projects in automation & controls as also the end users industry-wide and country-wide.

2.January 1987 to October 1995 with Siemens Ltd at their New Delhi Office. Joined as All India Sales Manager and resigned as All India Marketing Manager. Sold switchgears, relays, ac/dc drives of different types and ratings to OEMs & turnkey contractors engaged into doing projects in automation & controls as also the end users industry-wide and country-wide.

3.November 1995 to April 2002 with Samsung Corporation of South Korea. Joined as General Manager (Marketing & Business Development) at their India Liaison Office in New Delhi and resigned from the same post. Sold Computers parts like key boards, monitors, power supplies, hard discs, drives etc and office automation products like printers, fax machines etc to OEMs and distributors; Medical Equipments like MRI systems, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, ECG machines to hospitals and nursing homes; Cable TV tuners and converters and satellite video receivers to cable TV operators; Optical Fiber Cable to government departments and undertakings. The job also included escorting of visiting delegations from Korea to different government departments and undertakings.

4.May 2002 to April 2004 with Finolex Cables Ltd, Pune. Joined as Vice President (Commercial & Administration) to look after the functions of Purchase & Materials Management, Personnel & Administration, Finance & Accounts, Legal & Logistics at the plant, which produces worth over 300 million USDs of telecommunication cables. The other colleagues at the plant were: Vice President (Operations) and Vice President (Marketing). Together all three of us, reported to the Managing Director based in Pune.

5.May 2004 onwards – engaged in own business of import and marketing of miscellaneous items of engineering hardware.

Computers:Can work online on any ERP software. Excellent at Excel and MS word.
