[edit] Ross Petot
Hi, Pitchka. I took at good look at the article's history, and you're right, it shouldn't have been tagged as a speedy delete and I should've looked at it more closedly before deleting it. I gladly reinstated it and included a comment that it's no longer eligible for speedy deletion.
I'm sorry that you've been meeting with difficulty so far. It's really unfortunate, but many new users aren't treated with the respect they deserve, and I'm very sorry about that. Please know I'm always open if you have any questions or problems that you might need help with. Keep up the good work, and happy editing! – ClockworkSoul 01:55, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi! This article was tagged for notability and it caught my interest. As you would know, the guy was famous in his time and now becuse of his body of work. I added a bit of stuff and removed the tag but the article deserves some work. Someone who reads Italian could do a service on this one. I'm watching it with interest. Cheers! [edit] Francis Matthews
That was a good catch that they are one in the same Francis Matthews. I googled it to double check, and you are right. Well done! --Briancua 23:04, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I cannot provide you with anymore details than I already added to the article. I was updating stuff right from the library's reference section and all the books and manuscripts that I quoted from and used are not available to me now and I do not want to have to start all over again. Sorry. Friuli 22:00, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Robert Abplanalp
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Robert Abplanalp, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Robert Abplanalp. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. - Thank you for your advice. I have written why I feel it meets the requirements and why he should have an article on the tak page. Dwain 20:47, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Username
The only meaning of word pitchka (translated to English) that I know of is "cunt". Did you deliberately choose this offensive username or is there possibly a non-offensive meaning to this word? Shinhan 17:33, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Well we are always learning something new! Both me and you. I was told before by a Serbian that it was a bad word but I was never told what it meant. I named myself after a Russian space shuttle that never flew. It means "little bird" in Russian. Here is a link: Look under The Shuttle Buran heading.
- I did start a new Username Dwain after being told, but I started so many articles under Pitchka I didn't want to loose credit for starting them and then the main reason I had partially kept using it was because I had over 600 pages being watched. So even if I logged in as Dwain I'd end up re-logging in as Pitchka to ceck to see what was up with te pages I was watching. Before you'd know it I'd be editing again under Pitchka! There were just so many pages being watched to transfer over to watch them under Dwain!
- I had been Redirecting these pages to Dwain but periodically one of the pages would be under attack and/or vandalized so I would delink the redirect so all the pages I've worked on wouldn't be targeted. I'm sorry that you find my username offensive. I would suspect that there are very many fellow Wikipedians who would happily call me that in Serbian or English for that matter!!!
- I have been working on transfering all my watch pages over to Dwain so as to close down this page. There are a bunch of nut cases who think I have two names for all sorts of devious purposes! When they are not annoying the heck of me I can't help but to laugh at them! Some think that I have devised some extensive plan to confuse people!!!! Anyway, thanks again for telling me the alternative meaning of the word! Take care. Dwain 01:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
