Pistonheads
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pistonheads is a popular UK-based website for motoring enthusiasts, the main feature of which is a very active discussion forum. The site gained particular attention in 2006 when members organised a fund raising appeal for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, following the high speed crash of Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond. [1] It has a lot of prominent events, offical and unoffical, that have arisen from members getting together including Vmax, The Northants Runs, Pistonfest, Black Tie & Pie, and the elusive, secretive Tunnel Runs.
The website was originally devised as a site for fellow TVR owners to share information, tips, and help each other with common problems. It has become a worldwide success and is one of the most popular motoring forums to date. [2][3]
