A pissing contest is a slang term usually defined as pointless and trivial contest between people for superiority, just for its own sake.
The term can also be taken literally for a competition two or more usually male participants as to who is the most capable of urinating. The classic set-up involves a wall, preferably made of permeable brick upon which the resulting moisture can be easily observed, and the judgment is made with regards to height with the participant capable of making the highest mark being declared winner, although other variants are known. The implication is that the one who can piss the highest, furthest, or longest is the better man.
