Pipers Island

Pipers Island is an island in the River Thames at Reading in the English county of Berkshire, located at grid reference SU711745. The island is small and entirely occupied by a public house and restaurant, and by moorings for an associated boat hire and cruise business. It is immediately adjacent to Caversham Bridge, which crosses the river here. The island can be accessed on foot by way of a staircase descending from the centre pier of the bridge, and connecting to a short footbridge to the island.
