Pioneer Living History Village

The Pioneer Living History Village, sometimes called the Pioneer Living History Museum, is a living museum in Phoenix, Arizona.
Plans for the living museum first came to light in 1956 by a group of Arizona history enthusiasts. These enthusiasts were distruaght by the thought of Many landmarks of Arizona history being destroyed in the name of progress. In response, they formed the "Pioneer Arizona Foundation, Inc". Some of the original founders included Paul Fannin, Barry Goldwater, Carl Hayden, and Wesley Bolin.
The grand opening of the museum was celebrated February 15, 1969. Since its opening, the museum is still in Phase 1.
