Pinhal Novo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pinhal Novo (pron. IPA: [pi'ɲaɫ 'novu]) is a town in Portugal with 22,000 inhabitants situated in the Setubal Peninsula halfway between Lisbon and Setubal. It is served by two highways connecting Lisbon to the South and by its brand new Train Station that enables residents to be directly connected to Lisbon's subway network in 30 minutes since October 2004. It's located near the beaches of the Arrabida National Park and all kinds of facilities such as ultramodern shopping centers such as Forum Montijo, or the Alcochete Freeport.

The city is experiencing continuous growth and passed from a little village a few years ago to a planned 40000 inhabitants city in the next years. It benefits from new infrastructure, and urbanization plans don't allow big buildings which contributes to a certain quality of life. The new urbanization and construction are essentially top level houses. This will contribute to the property values of the area in the next few years.
