Pine Mountain Lake, California

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The gated entrance to the private community of Pine Mountain Lake lies eight tenths of a mile to the north and east of Groveland. The main gate is located on Ferretti Road, which partly circumscribes the development. The community is built around a reservoir impounding Big Creek. When full, the reservoir level is about 2,500-2,550 feet above mean sea level. The highest points in the community are about 3,100 feet AMSL. Wired phones in the community are served by the Groveland telephone exchange and the area does not have U.S. Mail service. Postal customers have addresses of post office boxes in Groveland.

The community is comprised of a combination of year-round residents and seasonal residents. Many lots in the development are undeveloped: populated by Pines and Manzanita. Some have completed homes which are rented as seasonal resort homes. There are homes used year-round and one apartment building on Dyer Court. The reservoir is used for recreation.

The development is home to Pine Mountain Lake Country Club, which includes a golf course.
