Pietru Caxaru

Pietru Caxaru (died 1485), was a Maltese Poet. Caxaru was philosopher, orator and public notary. He died in 1485 buried in the chapel of Our Lady of Help at the Domnicans Church at Rabat, Malta.
Caxaru is the author of Cantilena, a poem in Maltese of good importance in the Maltese literature. In his poems Caxaru use both Semetic and Latin words.
