Pietro Amato

Pietro Amato is a Montreal French horn player. He plays with two instrumental bands: The Bell Orchestre and Torngat. Amato is also a touring member of The Arcade Fire. In 2006 The Bell Orchestre performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival.
Amato is a founding member of Torngat, his longest standing musical project. In July of 2006 a stand-in temporarily replaced Amato for Bell Orchestre's European tour while he devoted his time to Torngat's next album, due out in the spring of 2007.

- Graduated with a Fine Arts degree at Concordia University.
- In 2005 Amato performed "Rebellion (Lies)" with The Arcade Fire on The Late Show with David Letterman.
- Amato and Sam Roberts occasionally play ice hockey together.
- Has over 30 cousins, five of which are members of The Beds.
