Pieces of a Dream is the 2005 greatest hits compilation by the American pop/rock singer Anastacia, covering singles from her first three studio albums Not That Kind, Freak of Nature and Anastacia. Just two of Anastacia's singles - "Boom", the official 2002 FIFA World Cup anthem, and "Love Is a Crime", the official soundtrack of the 2002 film Chicago - were omitted from the album, but are found as remixes in the Special Edition of the album).

There were never any official plans to release the album in the United States, to many American fans disappointment. Suprisingly though, the regular edition was released on iTunes.

It was the third and last single Anastacia released from her Pieces of a Dream and the second single Ramazotti released from his thirteenth album Calma Apparente. The song is a ballad and is a duet between Anastacia and Eros Ramazzotti in which Anastacia sings in English and Ramazzotti in Italian or Spanish. As Ramazzotti records his songs in both Italian and Spanish, there are two versions of this song as well: one with Italian lyrics and the other with Spanish lyrics, available in the Spanish versions of both Anastacia and Ramazotti's records.

The song was meant to be released on May 10 2006 in the UK, although there was no official music video made for the song and in a recent interview, Anastacia stated she wouldn't release new material until 2008.
