Picnic of Love is an album released by Anal Cunt on July 21, 1998.
The album was released as a joke and a parody of love songs as well as the band itself. The album is basically characterized by the exact opposite of everything that the band represents. While the normal Anal Cunt album consists of forty to fifty tracks (most which are under a minute in length), Picnic of Love contains only eleven fairly long tracks. The typical distorted guitars and loud screaming of Anal Cunt songs is replaced by soft acoustic guitar-playing and Seth singing in falsetto. The most apparent change is the lyrical content: all of the songs are about non-offensive, sweet subjects. For example, one song is titled "I Respect Your Feelings as a Woman and a Human," a stark contrast from the misogynistic dark humor that the band typically employs. After the release of this album, many fans believed for a period of time that the band had actually changed their style and theme for good. However, this proved to be untrue as this album was followed shortly by the release of It Just Gets Worse, which (as suggested by the album title) contains some of Anal Cunt's most controversial material to date.
