Phycoerythrobilin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phycoerythrobilin is a red phycobilin. Phycobilins are chromophores (light harvesting molecules) found in cyanobacteria and in the chloroplasts of red algae, glaucophytes and some cryptomonads. They are bonded to certain water-soluble proteins, known as phycobiliproteins.
