Phoenix Film Festival

The Phoenix Film Festival is a festival that celebrates feature films and their creators. The celebration takes place annually in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The festival showcases feature films made for under $1 million and short films made for under $50,000.

Sponsored by the Sundance Channel, Chris Lamont started the festival in 2000 and is now the president of the festival. Now, the Phoenix Film Festival is the largest attended festival in Arizona. In 2005 it had 15,000 attendees and featured tributes to such guests as Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, and Tom Ortenberg from Lionsgate's Films. Celebrity guests included Tom Arnold and Danny Trejo, as well as filmmakers Don Roos, Ken Kwapis and featured Arizona Premieres of "Happy Endings", "Mad Hot Ballroom" and "Loverboy".[1]
