An example of photographic artwork. The shutter was held open for an extended period on a dark night. When the vehicle drove down the road its headlights illuminated the road and objects ahead of it. This illumination was able to expose the sensor on the digital camera. The vehicle's tail lights exposed a narrow strip of the sensor over time and produced the bright streak in the middle of the image. The vehicle itself is not present because there was never enough light cast on it to expose the sensor.
