Please do not put anything in Hebrew on the English Wikipedia. Georgia guy 19:54, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
It has been more than 40 minutes since I told you so, but you put another article in Hebrew on this encyclopedia. Why?? Georgia guy 20:36, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- OK. It's not Hebrew but we still don't want foreign language stuff here. -- RHaworth 04:27, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Meditation-zone1 bg 01-1-.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Meditation-zone1 bg 01-1-.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. feydey 12:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- You said: BUT I REALLY USED DHAMMAKAYA FOUNDATION PICTURE ,AND I AM DHAMMAKAYA FOUNDATION,S MEMBER TOO. But please provide detailed information, including URLs for images obtained on the Internet so the licence information can be verified. Thanks. P.S. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. feydey 12:44, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- On the pictures source page http://www.dhammakaya.or.th/meditation/meditation_th_1.php it says Copyright 2000 - 2006 DHAMMAKAYA FOUNDATION, so this is a copyrighted picture. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia and doesn't allow copyrighted pictures, so please fix the situation. For help just write me. feydey 13:08, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for understanding. Just add {{db-author}} to the image page and your uploaded photo will be deleted. Thanks. feydey 13:21, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. Click Image:Meditation-zone1 bg 01-1-.jpg then click EDIT this page, then add: {{db-author}} and finally click Save page. You'll see this box: This page may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. The given reason is: The only editor of this page accidentally created it and requests its deletion (CSD G7). Thats it. feydey 13:50, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New images in the Meditation article
Hi. You just added a whole bunch of new images to the article on Meditation, in fact, you more than doubled the number of images in the article. They are all from the Dhammakaya movement, which in my opinion gives the article a un-even view of meditation movements. Could you please remove some of the images and maybe include them in the Dhammakaya article instead, where they might be better suited (I don't know). Regards --- Andkaha(talk) 13:45, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Give edit summaries
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Lantern.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lantern.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 19:03, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
