[edit] President's Choice Financial
I find it amusing that first they were serviced by CIBC, then spun off (I think to make it easy) to Amicus Bank, and now back to CIBC, LMAO. -- Spinboy 03:26, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Spoken version: This is Wonderland
Thanks for your contribution of a spoken version of This is Wonderland! I just listened to it and it sounds great! However, could you please add the following to the beginning and end of it so people know where it came from?
- Start with "Article name, from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, http://en.wikipedia.org." and end each one with "This sound file and all text in the article are licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, available at www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html" (GNU is pronounced "guh-noo" or can be spelled out).
(this is detailed at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Spoken_Wikipedia/Recording_guidelines#Production_notes) Thanks! -SCEhardT 19:47, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Also, when you record a spoken article, please add it to the list at Wikipedia:Spoken articles so others can find it. Thanks! -SCEhardT 23:07, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikimedia Canada
Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 17:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Westonroad.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Westonroad.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 18:57, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jaaaaaaay Waaaaaaave
(Sound of a noxious radio jingle.) Well done with J-Wave. Clearly you have more stamina than I do. One little point: J-Wave doesn't have the reputation of playing the best music on the planet. (In my perhaps atypical opinion, the best music on the planet is carefully avoided by most radio stations: they wouldn't want anything to upset their commercial sponsors.) No, J-Wave likes to tell the world that it plays the best music on the planet -- rather as North Korea tells the world that it's a people's democratic republic. -- Hoary 09:11, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Japanese culture, eh? Well, here is -- or anyway the links from the foot of it are -- more my idea of Japanese culture. (It's a pretty perfunctory article, but better than the one in WP-ja.) Yes, come to think of it, Japanese photographers are a seriously underrepresented area in WP-en: there aren't articles on even Domon or Kimura; or, for that matter, the hugely commercial Shinoyama. And if the Japanese are underrepresented in this anglocentric enterprise, they're way better off than, say, the Lithuanians. All the best with your editing. -- Hoary 10:39, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging
Greetings. From the description and use of [[:Image:DSC02730.JPG], it appears you intended this media to be freely available. I took the liberty of applying a {{GFDL-presumed}} tag. Could you confirm this at by replacing my edit with {{GFDL-self}}? Regards, Dethomas 00:33, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
