[edit] Notability
I'd like to asess notability for this person, as the article stands I don't think it qualifies according to WP:BIO. Lomedae talk
- Google provides some hint on the notability of people associated to a given subject. The search criteria should be for instance "Philippe Voarino" AND Aikido or "Voarino" AND Aikido and count the number of pages (not the number of hits since this tends to count all occurences of a name on each website). A test has been performed for the North American Aikidoka listed in the List of famous aikidoka page. Result is as follows: Mitsugi Saotome: 73 pages, then we have: Steven Seagal: 72, pages John Stevens: 66, Yoshimitsu Yamada: 60, Terry Dobson: 45, Gaku Homma: 43, Hiroshi Ikeda: 26, Kazuo Chiba: 26, Seiichi Sugano: 24, Mitsunari Kanai: 23, Robert Nadeau: 20, Akira Tohei: 19, Takeshi Kushida: 16, Eddie Hagihara: 7, Danielle Smith: 5, Mutsuro Nakazono: 4, Stephen Ohlman: 3, Jack Mumpower: 2. Except for Mutsuro Nakazono who is known under several different names, this looks pretty good. I would say anybody with less than 10 pages hit can be questionable on the notability scale (at least for aikido practionners). As for Voarino, number of pages was 8 at max.
