Philips Lumileds is the world's leading manufacturer of high-power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and a pioneer in the use of solid-state lighting solutions for everyday purposes. Its focus, based on its patented LUXEON Power Light Sources, is to bring the many benefits of solid-state illumination to general and specialist lighting applications.
The company supplies LED dice, packaged LEDs, and high-brightness LEDs for integration into general lighting products. It manufactures billions of LEDs annually, and produces the world's brightest red, amber, blue, green and white LEDs.

Lumileds Lighting was formed in November 1999 as joint venture between Philips Lighting and Agilent Technologies. The company was assigned the responsibility of developing and marketing the world's brightest LEDs and enabling a new world of light. Through Philips' acquisition, Lumileds has become a business unit within Philips Lighting and is known as Philips Lumileds Lighting Company. Philips Lumileds LED's are marketed and distributed globally exclusively by Future Electronics Inc. through the Future Lighting Solutions division.
