Philippe Cousteau

Philippe Cousteau was the second son of Jacques-Yves Cousteau. He was born in 1940 to Jacques-Yves Cousteau's first wife Simone. He first dived with an aqua-lung in 1945 when he was 5 years old. He died in 1979 in a PBY Catalina flying boat crash. His son Philippe Cousteau Jr. (born in 1976)continues the family work in oceanography. Junior was present when Steve Irwin was killed by the stingray.
