Philippe-François Véras
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Philippe-François Véras was a French organist and harpsichordist who worked in Lille somewhere around 1740.
No other details about his life are known, except the facts that he was organist of the St Maurice church in Lille and that he published a small collection of harpsichord works in 1740. The pieces are organized in "Ordres" (a kind of a free-shaped suite of descriptive pieces), as with François Couperin before him, and they are influenced by Italian style.
