Philip Cosgrave

Philip Cosgrave (died 22 October 1923) was an Irish Cumann na nGaedhael party politician who was a TD in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Dáils.
Cosgrave's death only eight weeks after winning his seat in the 4th Dáil triggered a by-election for his seat in the Dublin South constituency. It was held on 12 March 1924 and won by the Cumann na nGaedhael candidate, James O'Meara.[1]
His brother, W.T. Cosgrave, was President of the Executive Council (Prime Minister) of the Irish Free State and his nephew, Liam Cosgrave was Taoiseach from 1973 to 1977.
