Philip A. Penston, III. [1]WBL and the League were founded by Mr. Penston, who currently holds the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Penston is the author of the WBL patent, which is the foundation that the league is built on. Mr. Penston promoted or co-promoted eleven World Title Fights including the first World Title contest by Julio Caesar Chavez in Mexico, and fights by such other notables as Pernell Whitaker, Bernard Hopkins and Miguel Angel Gonzalez. Mr. Penston is a Partner and founder of the Management Consulting firm [2]ProVantage Consulting Group, LLC. A former KPMG Peat Marwick business consultant, Mr. Penston is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of international experience, with engagements in Europe, South America, the United States and Canada. The cadre of clients he served includes Sharp Electronics and Volkswagen (in Brazil), Televisa and Cablevision (in Mexico), New York Life, Coors Brewery and Invesco Funds (in United States), and Manulife (in Canada). Mr. Penston received a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania. Mr. Penston captained his college's soccer team for three years. He was also the founder of the Downingtown, Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League in 1980. Since then the League has graduated thousands of young soccer players to the ranks of college and professional sports. In the late 1980s, Mr. Penston was a certified player representative for NBA basketball players.
