Phileleftheros is the largest newspaper, by circulation, in Cyprus[1]. Established in 1951, it is also the oldest Greek paper (that is in current circulation) on the island.

Over the years it has expanded into a publishing company and has released several magazines (including the Cyprus edition of Cosmopolitan), as well as recently launching its own radio station, Radio Sfera.

In a newspaper scene otherwise dominated by political parties, Phileleftheros prides itself as being independent and not under the influence of a particular political party.
