Phil Jevons

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phillip Jevons (born in Liverpool on 1st August 1978) is an English football player for Bristol City, playing the position of striker.

Jevons began his career at Everton and became one of the stars of their youth side, scoring 35 goals in 91 youth team games and winning the FA Youth Cup in 1998. He failed to make much impact on the first team however, and July 2001 he was sold to Grimsby for £250,000. Whilst at Grimsby Jevons found his scoring boots and hit 18 goals before being sent out on loan to Hull City September 2002 for financial reasons. He remained Hull until the end of that season, scoring 3 goals, before returning to Grimsby. He joined Yeovil on a free transfer in June 2004 and has become a leading scorer for the club.

He joined Bristol City after a free transfer from Yeovil Town F.C. in the summer of 2006
