Phil Edwards (born November 8, 1985 in England) is a defender who is nominally a centre back but can play across the backline. He joined Wigan Athletic as a trainee in the summer of 2004 and played in one game for Morecambe F.C. during a month-long loan spell in September 2004. He moved to Accrington Stanley on a permanent basis in July 2006 after a succesful loan spell a couple of months earlier.
