Phil Cornwell

Phil Cornwell (born 5 October 1957 in Southend-on-Sea) is a British comedian, actor, impressionist and writer.
Cornwell has co-written and performed principal roles in Big Train, The Glam Metal Detectives and Stella Street.
He has appeared in several films made by The Comic Strip, including the role as Dave Spanker in Detectives on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown.
He played DJ Dave Clifton in both series of I'm Alan Partridge.
Phil Cornwell has also provided the voice of Murdoc Niccals of the animated band Gorillaz. He was the voice of Gilbert the Alien in the 1980s TV series Get Fresh.
Phil Cornwell is married to Rita and has two children, Freddy and Lile. He is a supporter of Tottenham Hotspur F.C.[1]
He can currently be seen as King Stupid in the CBBC series Stupid!. He replaced Marcus Brigstocke because he was involved in the Excuse my French on BBC2. Out of the two that have played him, Phil is the oldest (by sixteen years).
