Phanias

There are several historic people with the name Phanias:

  • Phanias of Eresus in Lesbos, Greek philosopher
  • Phanias, a Stoic philosopher, disciple of Posidonius. Diogenes Laertius mentions a work of his wherein he compares Posidonius with Panaetius in arguing from physical principles.

There is also a genus of jumping spider with the name Phanias.
