[edit] ILO

In the article: "The International Labour Organization (ILO) sentenced that those employees must be reinstated in their jobs." In English, "sentenced" is not possible in this context: it means specifically the imposition of a punishment. I'm guessing that this is in the sense of the Spanish sentencia (English: "verdict" or, if an administrative rather than judicial context, "ruling"), but even so I'm not sure what it means to say. Was this a judicial hearing? Did Venezuela recognize the authority of the ILO in this matter? When exactly was this verdict/ruling made? As it stands, it's very confusing, it only hints at something. -- Jmabel | Talk 04:46, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

I searched the entire UN site, and can find no trace of this. The ILO has "conventions," and "recomendations," and can "voice concerns," but as far as I know, it is not a judicial body, it does not make judgements or impose sentences. I am editing this entry with the one citation that I could find. --VonWoland 06:38, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
