Petersham railway station is on the Inner West Line of the CityRail network. It is located in the suburb of Petersham in Sydney, New South Wales. It is a small station and only receives 4 services an hour on weekdays and 2 on weekends.

Petersham train station is frequently used by more than 600 students from both Fortstreet High school and Leichhardt High School, especially around 8:00am (when school starts) and 3:15pm (when school ends).

The Inner West line uses the two southernmost tracks of the six tracks of the main suburban line. Petersham has an island platform on the southern most pair of tracks.

An ornate station building stands to the north of the tracks, but is no longer used as part of the station.
