Peter Schweizer

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Schweizer (b. 1964) is a conservative author and a research fellow at the Hoover Institute. His book Do as I Say (Not as I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy received praise from conservative political pundits including Bill O'Reilly.

Schweizer's book "Reagan's War" was the basis of the documentary film "In the Face of Evil" which recounts Ronald Reagan's lifelong quest against Communism and his hand in ultimately defeating it.

He wrote an article about Nancy Pelosi in which he accused her of hypocrisy. He contended that although Pelosi is a supporter of labor unions, her own vineyard in the Napa valley area does not employ a single union worker.[1] ABC News then investigated this and came to the conclusion that

  • Pelosi pays her workers better than the union workers
  • it is actually illegal for her to help her workers unionize according to the 1975 Agricultural Labor Relations Act[2]

Schweizer has said that he will clear this matter up, but has not done so.
