Peter Schaefer (born July 12, 1977 in Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a Canadian ice hockey left wing. He currently plays for the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to the Senators in 2002 for Sami Salo.
Apart from playing a solid all-around game, Schaefer is best known to Senator fans for his amazing play along the boards and PK plays. In the 2005-2006 season, Schaefer set career highs in goals, assists, and points.
