Peter Rohde

Peter Rohde (born November 19, 1964) came from South Australia and spent his playing days in the mid 1980's to mid 1990's with Carlton FC and Melbourne FC. Later he would achieve success with Norwood in the South Australian National Football League as a coach, ultimately leading to his appointment as an assistant coach at the Western Bulldogs. Towards the end of the 2002 season, the resignation of incumbent coach Terry Wallace led to Rohde being thrown into the hot seat for the final round clash with Collingwood FC at the MCG which the Bulldogs won. However, after being given the position of coach on a full-time basis at the commencement of the 2003 season, Rohde struggled with the demands of coaching and was eventually sacked in 2004. He is now currently a part of the Football Department at the Port Adelaide FC.
